For this we strongly recommend 3 sessions. Bring in your puppy to our fully equipped salon for his/her first enjoyable grooming experience, you can rest assure that your puppy will be slowly and gently introduced to the sights and sounds of a working grooming parlour. This experience will ensure that as he or she grows, going to the grooming parlour will be an enjoyable experience! Your puppy will be brushed, bathed and have their nails clipped, Aswell as being thoroughly pampered!

Removing matted fur from your dog can be a very painful and distressing experience for your dog. Please be advised that if your dog is matted this can drastically shorten or even shave their coats in extreme cases. Before we groom any dog, they are required to be fully brushed out and bathed. This would not be possible on a matted coat, therefore we would discuss this matter fully with you upon arrival at the groom room. A consent form would have to be signed before any de-matting processes are undertaken. Please be aware that shortened or shaved coats will grow back in time, and can be styled once re grown. We would ask you to groom your dog daily or weekly depending on breed or increase salon visits to eliminate anymore matting. There will be a £10 charge for 15 minutes of de-matting, we advise no more than this, per visit. The Riva Groom Room will not de-matt infirm/elderly, puppies or aggressive dogs.
